Does iTextMagic upload my messages?
No. Message extraction and export processing are designed to happen locally on your Windows PC. Licensing and update checks use the internet, but your message database and attachments are not sent to the license server.
Why can’t iTextMagic find my iPhone backup?
Make sure the backup was created on the same Windows account using Apple Devices or iTunes. You can also use Browse in iTextMagic to select a backup manually.
What if my encrypted backup will not load?
Use the password that was set when the encrypted local backup was created. iTextMagic does not know or recover that password.
I upgraded my license. Do I activate again?
No. Open License Management and choose Refresh License. Your existing key stays the same and the upgraded tier is loaded from the license server.
Why does iTextMagic ask me to refresh my license?
Paid licenses use a signed offline entitlement. If that entitlement is no longer current, connect to the internet and use Refresh License to obtain a fresh entitlement.
Can I verify Legal / Pro attachments independently?
Yes. The Legal / Pro package includes SHA-256 hashes in its attachment index. iTextMagic can verify the package for you, and advanced users can independently calculate SHA-256 hashes using standard operating-system tools.
